2020 CIFIT gathers global voices in investment

The 2020 China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) will gather important members of the government from many countries, representatives of international organizations, investors and business leaders to discuss global investment trends.

As a crucial part of CIFIT, the International Investment Forum (IIF) will focus on global investment promotion, the influence of digital trends on the global economy, and the driving effect of the Belt and Road Initiative on the global economy.

Among those sharing their insights via video will be Li Yong, director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and Ramon Lopez, secretary of Trade and Industry of the Philippines.

Lin Yifu, a renowned economist, Qi Bin, deputy general manager of the China Investment Corporation, and other experts will also deliver on-site speeches at the keynote conference.

A series of forums related to the topic of the Silk Road will be held this year. For example, the Silk Road Shipping International Cooperation Forum will feature Jiang Mingbao, chief engineer of the Ministry of Transportation, Huang Qifan, vice-chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, and Jens Eskelund, vice-president of Maersk China. 

Held every September in Xiamen, CIFIT is an international investment event aimed at promoting bilateral and multilateral economic exchange and cooperation. It also serves to showcase China's achievements in reform and opening-up.

This year, the offline event will welcome exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, and Japan.
