The express delivery business sector in Xiamen, Fujian province is undergoing orderly resumption, local media reported on Oct 17.

The Xiamen branch of China Post transferred 10 postal delivery vehicles from the city to support Tong'an district's express delivery since the district lifted its COVID-19 lockdown, said a manager of the Xiamen branch.

Priority has been given to dealing with the backlog caused by the recent COVID-19 outbreak. As of Oct 16, more than 50,000 express packages that had been backlogged had been delivered.

More than 30 deliverymen at an SF Express delivery station in Tong'an district are busy with processing packages, such as sterilizing the packages, counting the packages to be delivered, as well as contacting package recipients that they will be delivering their packages according to the listed address.

The delivery station is in charge of the package delivery of more than 1,000 companies in Tong'an district, spanning the food, clothing, machining, and e-commerce industries, said Tian Fumou, manager of an SF Express branch in the district.

In addition, companies in Tong'an district have been bolstering their efforts to produce products. "Companies like the bird's nest processing company Essence of Bird's Nest and the tea company Empereur deliver nearly 100 orders every day through SF Express," Tian said.
