Xiamen commerce bureau holds fire safety event
The Xiamen municipal bureau of commerce organized a fire safety event on Nov 18 for commercial and trading companies in the city.
The event was aimed at raising awareness of fire safety, improving exchange between businesses and creating a safer business environment in Xiamen.
Twenty-six teams of 76 participants involved in the commercial, trading and refined oil sectors competed in a firefighting skills competition.
The event also featured lessons on how to respond to emergencies, a safety knowledge quiz, and a competition where participants got the chance to handle water hoses and fire blankets.
Six teams of 17 participants won awards at the competitions.
