The upgrading of the container terminal integrates cutting-edge technologies such as the internet of things, the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, and artificial intelligence to carry out processes like loading and unloading the containers.
The upgraded intelligent container terminal is also connected to a logistics platform to connect the intelligent management with the entire container logistics chain.
Xiamen Port Holding Group Co took on the Hairun Container Terminal intelligent upgrading project to pilot in July 2020, said Cai Liqun, general manager of the group.
Innovative upgrades include an independently researched and developed intelligent production management system, the nation's first physically isolated industrial control level 5G private network, and the intelligent upgrading of the bridge cranes and frame cranes, Cai added.
