Xiamen Port posts strong figures in Jan
The container throughput of Xiamen Port in Xiamen, Fujian province reached about 1.05 million twenty-foot equivalent units in January, up 4.38 percent year-on-year, while the cargo throughput reached 19.47 million tons, up 7.32 percent year-on-year, local media reported on Feb 22.
As of Jan 31, the total transportation scale of Xiamen's ships reached 4.06 million dead weight tons, an increase of 9.85 percent year-on-year.
To date, Xiamen Port has 163 container shipping routes, linking 142 ports in 53 countries and regions across the world. Of that, 119 are foreign trade routes and 44 are domestic trade routes.
