According to a report on high-quality development of China's ports in 2021 released recently, Xiamen Port in Xiamen, Fujian province, revealed high-quality development.

According to the report, Xiamen Port ranked high among ports nationwide in green development, ship docking time, route coverage, economic contribution, online services, and port facilitation.

In recent years, Xiamen Port has been stepping up efforts to foster a world-class business environment and has made fruitful results in developing into a green intelligent port, according to officials from the Xiamen Port Authority.

To achieve "zero emission", all 168 gantry cranes at Xiamen Port were converted from diesel to electric power. To improve efficiency and reduce emissions, the port deployed more than 150 electric collector trucks, electric forklift trucks, and electric stackers.

The coverage rate of shore power supply to ships in all five types of specialized berths exceeds 50 percent, and the usage of shore power is among the highest among the coastal ports across the country.

In May, the power receiving facilities on the Piano Land cruise will be renovated.

Xiamen Port has been maintaining a stable supply chain and industrial chain, driving the number of routes and container throughput to ensure steady progress through measures such as the port's intelligent construction and transformation, paperless operation, and a series of leading national initiatives.
