Xiamen establishes cross-border e-commerce talent cultivation base

The digital business industry institute was officially unveiled at Xiamen Xingcai Vocational and Technical College on May 17.

The institute is designed as an industry-education integrated training base to assist industrial transformation and upgrading, and technological improvement.

The institute will explore a new cooperation mechanism between schools and enterprises to create a new talent cultivation and teaching mode.

Xiamen has formed a high-quality and sustainable cross-border e-commerce business environment in the province since it was approved as a cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone in 2018.

The number of Xiamen local cross-border e-commerce sellers surpassed 4,000 by the end of 2021, and a number of enterprises were awarded as Xiamen's excellent foreign trade independent brands.

In addition, Xiamen cross-border e-commerce imports and exports doubled in 2021 from that in 2020.
