From January to May, the express delivery by sea between Xiamen in Fujian province and Taiwan reached 753 containers and generated 32.49 million yuan, an increase of 1.6 times and 1.1 times, respectively, year-on-year.

In recent years, Xiamen has been beefing up its efforts to boost the integrated development of delivery by sea between Xiamen and Taiwan.

On May 31, Xiamen officially launched regular shipping routes to Taiwan's Kinmen on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The Xiamen - Kinmen shipping route aims to build a normal, shift-taking, stable and sustainable channel for express delivery logistics between Xiamen and Kinmen in order to boost the cross-Straits economic and trade exchanges.

The municipal bureau of commerce will continue to promote cross-Strait regional circulation channels, encourage companies to expand the express shipping business, and strengthen the city's express shipping business in Xiamen as well as develop solid cross-border e-commerce channels on both sides.
