The 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or CIFIT, will be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.

More than 30 investment negotiations and project matchmaking meetings are scheduled to be held during CIFIT, with over 200 investment institutions expected to be in attendance and nearly 1,000 project roadshows to take place.

This year's CIFIT includes a 2,800-square-meter exhibition hall for hot investment attraction cities, where 18 cities have the opportunity to introduce and promote their advantageous industries. Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia autonomous region and other provinces will hold special investment matchmaking sessions during CIFIT.

The investment fair has also set up a 26,000-sq m project-investment docking area to stage exhibitions and matchmakings, such as the emerging industries investment exhibition and the dual-carbon economy matchmaking, to offer investment opportunities to emerging economies, high-end industries and high-level businesses.

To date, this year's CIFIT has attracted more than 60 countries to attend the event.

CIFIT has evolved into an event for Chinese businesses to expand internationally and attract foreign investors thanks to the numerous activities that take place there.

The 21st CIFIT concluded with 512 projects inking agreements and raked in investments totaling 39.2 billion yuan ($5.65 billion).
