New commercial landmark to open in Xiamen

Located in Dongdu area in Xiamen, Seaworld XM covers 100 hectares and is the largest commercial complex on the west coast of the city.

With a total investment exceeding 17 billion yuan ($2.41 billion), the commercial complex features designated spaces for offices, commercial businesses, cultural tourism, a shipping terminal and a hotel.

The first phase of the commercial complex, which is designed as a recreation destination, will open on Sept 30, and consists of five major attractions and many first stores in Xiamen, Fujian province, and nationwide.

The major attractions consist of a large ferris wheel, the largest indoor ocean themed amusement park in Fujian province, the first experiential ice skiing park on the west coast, China's first aerial karting park, and a global film flagship theatre.

In addition, Seaworld XM plans to rely on the large passenger flow from the Xiamen International Cruise Home Port to attract consumers worldwide. Its second phase, which commenced construction recently, is designed to be a fashionable and international shopping center with fine products.

In terms of business, Seaworld XM has formed four major industrial clusters consisting of trade in services, legal affairs, finance and culture thanks to its location and economic advantages.
