Xiamen holds cross-border e-commerce forum

The 2022 RCEP·Cross-border E-commerce Growth Forum was held in Xiamen on Oct 26, attracting more than 300 cross-border businesses and industrial representatives.

Attendees participated in discussions related to current cross-border e-commerce issues, and provided new ideas and solutions to enhance the industry.

A plan called GliMall was launched at the forum, which consists of services like website building, payments, logistics and marketing to help companies realize the growth of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

Thanks to supportive policies, the number of local cross-border e-commerce businesses in Xiamen now exceeds 8,000, and the city continues to witness booming development in the industry.

Statistics indicate that from January to August, Xiamen's import and export volume with the four other BRICS countries - Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa - hit 59.39 billion yuan, an increase of 26.16 percent year-on-year. Of which, the export and import volumes were 18.43 billion yuan and 40.96 billion yuan, respectively, up 31.42 percent and 23.93 percent.
