The e-commerce import and export operation center of Chinese e-commerce giant JD in Xiamen received 140,062 orders on the first day of this year's "double 11" shopping festival, hitting a record high.

Behind the high volume of orders on a single day was the continuous efforts of the e-commerce operation center's retail sales force. Statistics show that since January, the center processed over 2 million orders through bonded cross-border e-commerce retail sales, which amounted to 625 million yuan.

The e-commerce import and export operation center project was introduced in 2019 and is based in the Xiamen Haicang Free Trade Port Zone. The center provides integrated full-chain logistics services covering warehousing and logistics, international freight, international procurement, international transit, cross-border e-commerce, transportation and distribution, foreign import and export trade customs clearance, and insurance.

In addition, the center is continuing to upgrade its warehousing facilities and became one of the first batch of JD's central warehouses in 2021.

To date, relying on Xiamen's superior location, the center has developed into an integrated characteristic cross-border e-commerce port warehouse focusing on cosmetics and alcohols.
