From January to October this year, the contract value of service outsourcing undertaken by enterprises in Xiamen reached 52.51 billion yuan ($7.44 billion), up 27.8 percent year-on-year, with the executed value reaching 31.01 billion yuan, up 50.9 percent year-on-year. The growth rates were 13.4 and 37.6 percentage points higher, respectively, than those of the entire nation.

During the period, the contract value of offshore service outsourcing hit 24.28 billion yuan and the executed value stood at 16.16 billion yuan, up 17.9 percent and 31.4 percent, which were 3.3 and 20.3 percentage points higher than those of the nation, respectively.

The executed value of offshore information technology outsourcing (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) experienced a year-on-year increase of 23.3 percent, 43.9 percent and 9.4 percent, respectively.

When it comes to the market share, the executed value of offshore service outsourcing received from the US, ASEAN and China's Hong Kong occupied 75.2 percent of the total volume, up 24.8 percent, 64.3 percent and 26.8 percent year-on-year, respectively.

During the 10-month period, private enterprises undertook 12.5 percent of the total business in Xiamen, up 10.6 percent year-on-year. The executed value of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by Hong Kong-, Macao- and Taiwan-funded enterprises made up 13.3 percent of the total business transaction in Xiamen. The figure for foreign invested enterprises reached 37.4 percent, up 13.6 percent year-on-year.
