This year, Xiamen is encouraging enterprises to participate in 120 overseas high-quality exhibitions. It plans to increase subsidies for booth and personnel costs for enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions by 20 percent in the first half of the year, which is beneficial for enterprises to "go global" to grab orders and expand their overseas presence.

The city's commerce bureau will focus on optimizing the foreign trade structure, cultivating new drivers for foreign trade development, and accelerating the improvement of the foreign trade development ecology.

It aims to introduce more multinational companies and foreign-funded enterprises in advanced and high-end manufacturing sectors, and encourage foreign-funded enterprises to increase capital and expand production.

The bureau plans to continue to promote new consumption methods and upgrade consumption levels and boost market confidence by delivering more benefits to its residents. It also plans to build a differentiated and characteristic business district on and off the island to enhance the consumption capacity to surrounding areas.

In addition, the commerce authority aims to give priority to the supply chain based on the city's characteristics, and make its own contributions to Xiamen's development.
