Xiamen unleashes 130 provincial-level projects in 2023

Recently, with a total investment of 693.6 billion yuan ($102.31 billion), 130 projects were listed as key projects at the provincial level by the development and reform commission of Fujian province. Among them, 128 projects are under construction, and two are planned to be started.

A total of 58 industrial projects are currently underway, including Xiamen Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd's new battery industrial base and Xiamen Rural Commercial Bank's headquarters. After being completed, the projects are expected to make Xiamen's modern industrial system more efficient.

There are 55 projects related to infrastructure, including a comprehensive auxiliary project for the urban renewal of Siming district and Xiamen's rail transit, which are expected to better serve residents and make commuting more convenient.

To promote Xiamen's undertakings, a total of 15 projects are scheduled to be completed in 2023. Among them are the Xiamen Planetarium and Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University (Xiamen Branch). The projects aim to help develop the city’s education and medical services.

Xiamen has launched action plans to support the construction of the projects, which follow the philosophy of building safe, high-quality and environmental-friendly projects. Xiamen is also developing solutions for problems in the construction sector and hopes to boost economic growth.
