The Xiamen King Long Motor Group recently exported 200 18-meter Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses to Uzbekistan, which is the largest BRT bus order delivered by a Chinese bus company under the Belt and Road Initiative this year.

The buses left from China's Khorgos land port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and are expected to arrive in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, by the end of this month to help Uzbekistan to build a green and efficient public transport system.

Ding Mingbin, general manager of King Long, said as a model of China's independent bus brand, King Long has forged a profound friendship with Uzbekistan for nearly 15 years. "We believe that King Long's high-quality products and reliable service system will provide global users with safer and more comfortable travel experiences in Uzbekistan."

In January, Uzbekistan's minister of transport led a team to meet with bus manufacturers in China and spoke highly of King Long's innovation concept, science and technology, product quality, operations and aftersales services in the Xiamen BRT system.

Jin Shoulin, general manager of Xiamen King Long International Trade Co Ltd, said the company has designed the buses according to the road conditions and consumer habits in Uzbekistan. For example, BRT buses use high-standard axles and safer CNG cylinders.

The BRI has created new opportunities for Chinese companies to go global. King Long first entered the Egyptian market in 2007, and up to now, King Long has expanded its trade territory to 112 countries and regions including Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
