The 12th Expo Investment Fair for International Exhibition Cooperation (EIIE) was held in Beijing from May 9 to 10, drawing a delegation of nearly 40 representatives from 18 Xiamen-based venues, conference firms, exhibition enterprises, and upscale hotels. The delegation sought to foster collaboration and attract additional exhibition ventures to establish themselves in Xiamen.

As the exhibition industry emerges from the gloom of the pandemic, the Xiamen municipal bureau of commerce is proactively searching for fresh advancements within the industry. At the forum, the "BRICS Xiamen - Prominent Exhibition City" pavilion garnered considerable interest from those within the field and held in discussions with over 190 associations, exhibition enterprises, and public relations companies throughout China.

At the event, Chen Xijin, the deputy director of Xiamen's conference and exhibition promotion center, underscored the city's dedication to constructing a top-tier business environment and pursuing a more profound synergy between exhibitions and industries through the "Exhibition+" strategy. Concentrating on the "4+4+6" modern industrial framework and 12 100-billion-yuan ($1.73 billion) industrial chains, Xiamen is committed to developing a "one exhibition, multiple meetings" model to bolster the economy and elevate the city's ambiance.

Chen further detailed the recently unveiled supportive measures for Xiamen's exhibition sector by accentuating substantial rewards and financial incentives aimed at enticing a greater number of high-quality projects to discover opportunities and cultivate development in Xiamen.
