Xiamen enterprises reap success in Brazil

The Xiamen Negotiations Workshop in the Brazil Roadshow of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Partnership Innovation Center for the New Industrial Revolution, a promotion conference, opened in São Paulo, Brazil on May 10.

The conference led to eight Xiamen-based companies signing cooperation agreements with Brazilian partners, amounting to over $1 billion in project value. These initiatives span industries like intelligent manufacturing, biotechnology, and new energy, underscoring the shared commitment to enhance economic collaboration between the two nations.

Among the companies that secured deals during the promotion conference were three of Xiamen's Fortune Global 500 firms, Xiamen C&D Co, Xiamen ITG Group Co, and Xiangyu Group. These industry leaders will join forces with Brazilian enterprises in sectors including agricultural products, food, and steel.

The promotional event attracted more than 60 Brazilian companies, serving as a platform for fostering communication and establishing vital connections between the participating businesses.

The conference also showcased Xiamen's favorable business environment and the ongoing construction of the BRICS innovation base, which is poised to draw further foreign investment to the city.

This wave of agreements signals a significant milestone in the economic and trade alliance between Xiamen and Brazil. By pursuing an advanced level of openness and expediting the development of new paradigms for key urban centers, Xiamen-based corporations are poised to seize emerging opportunities and continue expanding their presence in the global marketplace.
