A delegation representing the vibrant exhibition sector of Xiamen embarked on a fruitful journey to Germany, France, and Tajikistan from May 7 to 16. Their mission was to showcase the city's distinctive offerings in exhibitions and cultural tourism.

Throughout their visit, the Xiamen delegation engaged in productive meetings with officials from seven esteemed international exhibition, cultural, and tourism organizations. Additionally, they had the opportunity to connect with representatives from two sister cities, emphasizing Xiamen's status as one of China's earliest special economic zones. The delegation effectively highlighted the city's exceptional attributes, including favorable natural conditions, modern facilities, robust policy support, and convenient transportation infrastructure.

Moreover, the delegation highlighted significant events like the Xiamen-hosted China International Fair for Investment and Trade - the largest global bi-directional investment promotion event - and the China Xiamen International Stone Fair, the industry's largest gathering.

An important outcome of the delegation's efforts was the signing of cooperation agreements with two leading international exhibition firms, Hannover Messe and Messe München. These agreements pave the way for the launch of collaborative projects, including the highly anticipated Asia Sports and Fashion Exhibition.

In addition to strengthening ties with exhibition firms, the Xiamen delegation also seized the opportunity to visit sister cities Nice, France, and Dushanbe, Tajikistan. These visits facilitated in-depth discussions with officials from the sister cities, exploring potential areas of cooperation in diverse fields. The focus of these discussions ranged from cultural heritage and film to education through the establishment of a Confucius Institute, as well as the promotion of tourism opportunities.
