The fourth quarter of the "Renewal Season" trade-in program for household appliances, home furnishings, and kitchen and bathroom products was launched on Oct 26. People can trade in their old items for new ones.

Major retailers such as Suning.com, Haier Appliances, and Fotile all offered substantial discounts. The "Trade-in" exclusive display area was bustling with activity, with cash incentives attracting many people.

The car replacement program offered a maximum subsidy of up to 16,000 yuan ($2,243), while each category of the eight types of household appliances can receive a maximum subsidy of 2,000 yuan.

For home furnishings and kitchen and bathroom products, individuals can receive a maximum subsidy of 20,000 yuan. In addition, for old house renovation and building materials, each property can receive a maximum subsidy of 20,000 yuan.

The program covers a wide range of areas, including automobiles, household appliances, home furnishings, kitchen and bathroom products, and home renovation for elderly care.

This event not only covers traditional household appliances but also includes computers (including desktop and portable computers) for the first time in the subsidy category.

During the event, there was also a "trade-in" knowledge quiz interactive session, in which the audience listened to the host's questions and gained a better understanding of the "trade-in" concept. This helped to deepen the public's awareness of the policies of the "Renewal Season" event.
