In 2024, Xiamen's convention and exhibition industry achieved impressive results, with multiple data points reflecting significant growth. 

Data indicates that Xiamen hosted a total of 193 exhibitions, covering approximately 2.46 million square meters, along with 4,593 conferences. The events attracted around 831,800 participants and generated an economic benefit of roughly 30.98 billion yuan ($4.25 billion).

Xiamen is actively implementing the "C&E Plus" strategy, strengthening the role of conferences and exhibitions in driving industries, investment promotion, consumption, and cultural tourism. The platform's functions in investment attraction and industry promotion are becoming increasingly evident.

In 2025, Xiamen is focusing on building a "C&E-Friendly City", which primarily involves being friendly to organizers, professional buyers, exhibitors, and general audiences.

"We will pay more attention to providing comprehensive value-added services for C&E activities, enhancing the additional value of these events. This ensures that exhibition projects held in Xiamen can not only be successful but can also grow larger, stronger, and more effective," said Yu Hao, director of the Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

In the first quarter of 2025, in addition to several anime exhibitions and the 6th China Marathon Expo, the 25th Xiamen Stone Fair, Melaleuca Annual Conference, and the International Conference on Display Technology will be held in March.
