With the increasing popularity of Chinese cultural products overseas, more and more foreigners are being drawn to China – with many of them deciding to explore the country by cruise. On Feb 25, the cruise ship Zhao Shang Dun Yi arrived in Xiamen, and many of its international passengers showed a strong interest in traditional Chinese culture.

Zhao Shang Dun Yi made its debut on an international route in Xiamen and will conduct three voyages as a visiting cruise ship in the port. There are about 200 passengers from 12 countries arriving in Xiamen via the ship. 

Nearly 120 of the passengers are eligible for single or mutual visa exemptions, accounting for over 60 percent of the total. More than 50 passengers have applied for visa-free entry into China as part of international tourist groups traveling by cruise ship, with various visa-free policies helping them to better explore and understand China.

Serbian traveler Madi expressed his eagerness to watch the recent hit animated movie Ne Zha 2 and plans to share it with her children afterwards. "My brother played Black Myth: Wukong and loved it. I also want to give it a try," said New Zealand traveler Bok.

This year, Xiamen International Cruise Home Port will operate 19 cruises from Xiamen to Japan, the Philippines, and other ports of call, and will host eight cruise ships visiting Xiamen, with international tourists eager to see the city's sights.
