The largest competition with the most projects in the country, the “Yan Shang Cup” of the fifth China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has accumulatively financed more than 2 billion yuan ($318.6 million) for over 800 projects, and led to employment of more than 1 million teenagers. Various provinces will hold sub-contests from June to August and select outstanding projects to attend the national competition. The opening ceremony, main contests and closing ceremony will be held in Suzhou New District in September or October.

The “Taihu Jingu youth business fund” was set up at the launch ceremony of the competition, with a down payment of 100 million yuan and a total fund of at least 2 billion yuan to build a long-term mechanism to support youth business.
The center will promote more outstanding companies to be listed on the China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Board and will list at least 100 companies each year, said an official of the center. He added that it will bring together projects, capital and talents to attract more outstanding projects to Suzhou.
The China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Board regional center will be operated by Taihu Jingu Information Technology Company Ltd. It currently serves 18 companies, eight listed and ten under review.
