The West pavilion of Suzhou Museum in the city's New District to host Canadian exhibits

The west pavilion of Suzhou Museum will cover an area of 37,600 square meters. It will have a building area of 43,000 square meters, including 12,000 square meters for exhibitions. The pavilion will feature a basic general history exhibition, a children's hall, culture and innovation areas and other exhibition halls.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding, Suzhou Museum and the ROM plan to set up a permanent exhibition hall for ROM exhibits.

The ROM has various and broad collections which extend from the history of Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome to the 20th century, communicating the social and cultural dimensions behind the historic relics, said Chen. He added that the establishment of the permanent exhibition hall of the ROM collection will build a platform for citizens to more easily access various countries' culture and art.

The ROM is a museum of art, world culture and natural history in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1912, it contains about six million artifacts from China, Greece, Egypt, Rome and other areas. It has the most comprehensive and diverse Chinese art collection outside of China. It is the eighth sister-museum of Suzhou Museum.
