Moreover, the artist from Suzhou has had her own understanding of this beautiful art form throughout her nearly life-long embroidery career.

"For me, embroidery means family education 40 years ago, livelihood 30 years ago, technical improvement 20 years ago, and a way of expressing emotions 10 years ago. But now it has become my life, and a way of returning to nature."

Asad is certainly not the only one impressed by the tremendous artworks. Ishtiaq Ahmed, the Bangladeshi junior student majoring in finance at Jiangnan University in Wuxi, began snapping photos the moment he got off the bus.

"I never would have imagined embroidery could be so amazing if I didn't participate in this event. Unbelievable!"

The work that impressed Ishtiaq the most was a piece that looks like fruit dishes from the front but a cat from the back, which stunned all the attendants.
