Suzhou Good-Ark Electronics Co, one of the largest semiconductor suppliers in the world, practices traditional Chinese "home" culture in business management.

"Home" culture in China signifies a series of systems and ideas developed by different families, which prioritizes its family member's happiness and is an important part of traditional Chinese culture.

Wu Nianbo, chairman of Suzhou Good-Ark Electronics Co, believes that corporations have become the backbone of a society and to build a happy business is quite necessary for building a harmonious modern society.

The Suzhou company has put its employees' happiness in the first place since its establishment in 1990 and explored their own management mode for a happy business in 2009, including humanistic care, humanistic education, health promotion, charitable cause, voluntary service, and filial piety to seniors.

It teaches employees the importance of filial piety, integrity, environment protection and organizes them to visit elderly people without a family and orphans at regular intervals.

In 2013, the Suzhou company established a Mingde Foundation, which pays special attention to stay-at-home children.

The company also established a happy partner alliance to pass on their experience in building a happy business to other counterparts.

Over the past few years, the company has been invited to share their "home" culture management by the United Nations (UN), the UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization, and companies in the United States, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Germany, and other countries.

In Dec 2016, a course themed on "Suzhou Good-Ark practicing sage culture" was launched by Harvard Business School and its special management mode was written into the graduate business school's textbooks.
