Suzhou New District bagged 44 billion yuan ($6.2 billion) in agreements at an online dialogue on global industrial chain collaboration organized by Suzhou government and held on May 18 and 19.

The projects cover industrial chains such as biomedical and high-end medical devices, software and integrated circuits, auto and spare parts, intelligent equipment and new type displays.

For example, Highfine, a Suzhou-based developer and provider of peptide synthesis reagents for both domestic and overseas markets, signed a 21-million-yuan deal with Asymchem Laboratories (Tianjin) Co. The reagents are in short supply with market demand growing over 30 percent every year.

Lexy, a Suzhou-based manufacturer of home appliances which has maintained top sales on the global market for cleaners for 14 years, intends to collaborate with a local partner by investing roughly 100 million yuan on special materials for micro motors.

New ChengShi Electronic Co joined hands with Fengqiao subdistrict in Suzhou New District on a 300-million-yuan expansion project, which is expected to help the company scale up production, meet market demands, and seek streamlined and intelligent manufacturing possibilities.

Agreements worth 400 billion yuan were reached at the online dialogue, as well as global cooperation infographics which unveiled Suzhou's industrial chains being launched, which offer a global perspective for leading industries to strengthen their supply chains and better match the supply and demand of local and global enterprises.
