Construction of a new sports park with the impressive Hengshan Mountain in the background was recently completed in Suzhou New District, local media reported Dec 9.
The Hengshan Mountain Sports Park cost 40 million yuan ($6.12 million) and covers 45,600 square meters. It was designed to meet the exercise and entertainment needs of people of different ages and has large lawn areas, a children’s playing field, a well-equipped fitness area, playing fields, extreme sports spaces, and a training arena.
The park also has one standard seven-a-side football field, two standard basketball courts, one gateball court, three fitness equipment squares, one roller skating rink, and one activity field for senior citizens.
The park is expected to open in mid-December.
