A group of foreign online influencers visited Suzhou in East China's Jiangsu province on June 23 to experience both the historic culture and innovative development of the city.
Expats from the United Kingdom, Italy, Croatia, and other countries enjoyed the beauty of the natural views and architecture in the Lion Grove Garden, a World Cultural Heritage Site, and walked along Pingjiang Road, a historical street.
Martin Stokic, a photographer from Croatia, was interested in the roofs of Suzhou-style buildings when visiting the Lion Grove Garden. He couldn't stop taking photos and talking about the beautiful architectures with other tourists.
Stollery Saul Jerone from the UK learned several gestures from Kunqu Opera artists, "Suzhou is interesting due to its profound history and culture. I hope to live here for a long time."
When walking along Pingjiang Road, Rafael Antonio Saavedra Molina from Venezuela started an online broadcast to introduce Suzhou to people overseas.
Expats also visited Lexy, a Suzhou-based manufacturer of home appliances, and were impressed by the innovative "Made-in-Suzhou" products and techniques.
"It hasn't been that long since I last came to Suzhou, but the city has changed so much and is developing at an incredible pace," said Rachele Longhi from Italy.
The trip was part of the "Daka China" series of activities, which will run until June 27.
