Suzhou New District signed a strategic agreement with Daiwa Securities (China), a comprehensive securities company, on July 6 to attract investment from Japan.

According to the agreement, the company will carry out securities brokerage, investment banking, fixed income, investment and financing, as well as other all-round financial services in SND and the Yangtze River Delta.

In addition, it will provide financial services for enterprises in SND and surrounding areas, assist efforts to attract investment in Japan, as well as promote SND's high-quality enterprises to carry out investment and financing business in Japan. To promote cooperation between related enterprises and SND, it will also help introduce Japan's advanced technology, management, as well as talents.

With a history of 119 years, Daiwa Securities Group is one of the largest comprehensive securities companies in Japan. To date, it ranks fifth among global securities companies in terms of assets.

Home to 620 Japanese companies, SND has established the Sino-Japanese green industry innovative cooperation demonstration base, said Mao Wei, Party secretary of SND.

The cooperation between SND and Daiwa Securities is also expected to improve services to Japanese businesses in the district.
