Lishen Battery (Suzhou) Co, a lithium ion battery manufacturer located in Suzhou New District, exceeded 920 million yuan ($142.32 million) in output value from January to June, up over 300 percent year-on-year.
The company delivers 850,000 batteries nationwide every day as the automatic production lines can operate round the clock. The company's orders have been scheduled until the end of the year, according to a report broadcast by CCTV on July 31.
"The consumer electronics demand for lithium ion batteries has grown rapidly so we initiated the second phase project in advance," said Gu Xiang, vice-general manager of the company.
The company adopts an advanced manufacturing system which can ensure consistency in the products and improve per capita output, Gu said.
In the intelligent manufacturing workshop, the machines produce high-quality batteries with an average output value of 3 million yuan per day.
According to Gu, there are more than 50 upstream and downstream companies related to the battery company within a radius of 50 kilometers. The company will further boost its intelligent factory to realize a 15-billion-yuan output.
Lishen Battery is an example of the implementation of intelligent transformation and digital transformation in the new energy industry in SND. It has received national, provincial, and municipal-level honors. The company has also been recognized as a new model for intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
