Fandeng Bookstore in Suzhou New District opened to the public on Aug 12.
The 600-square-meter bookstore is located in the Research Institute for Environmental Innovation (Suzhou), Tsinghua, marking the bookstore's first collaboration with Tsinghua University.
In addition to selling books and other creative products, Fandeng Bookstore offers book lending services, hosts cultural activities, as well as provides an enriching environment for book lovers.
The bookstore is also divided in various zones with different functions, including an activity salon area. For instance, in the audio-visual area, people can not only read books, but also listen to audio books. There are about 300 audio books available in the bookstore's library.
There is also a special interactive zone for people to recommend books to anyone coming to the bookstore. The zone contains a wide range of reading choices, with more than 30,000 books currently.
The bookstore will hold seasonal book exhibitions under various topics, such as "selections from Tsinghua University Press" and "environmental protection".
Fandeng Bookstore is a bookstore brand of Spiritual Wealth Club, an online reading community. Founded in 2016, the bookstore has nearly 220 branches in 103 cities nationwide.
