China's largest restaurant company Yum China signed an agreement with Suzhou New District on Sept 13 to establish its smart operations center in the district.

According to the agreement, Yum China will invest in and establish its smart operations center, with the first phase settling in China Suzhou Innovation Park.

The operations center will offer services to all of the company's brands, which include online business operation and maintenance, private domain operation, as well as setting up a laboratory for artificial intelligence business, supporting the development of digital business, and building a regional smart operations headquarters.

Yum China is dedicated to being the world's most innovative pioneer in the restaurant industry. Currently, the company operates over 10,000 restaurants with 400,000 employees across the Chinese mainland.

The company has the exclusive right to operate and sub-license the KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell brands in China. It also owns the concepts outright to East Dawning, Little Sheep, Huang Ji Huang, and COFFii & JOY. In 2020, the company partnered with Lavazza, an Italian coffee brand, to develop Lavazza coffee shops in China.

The smart operations center will further expand its business by furthering its cooperation with Suzhou in the future.
