Suzhou New District-based Suzhou Highfine Biotech Co held a groundbreaking ceremony on Sept 16 for its headquarters building.
Spanning 2.3 hectares of construction area in Xushuguan Economic Development Zone, the headquarters building received an investment of 350 million yuan ($54.18 million). It is expected to be put into use by the end of 2022, comprising of a listed entity, R&D center, and an operation center. It is projected to generate 2 billion yuan of annual output in the next five years.
Established in the China Suzhou Innovation Park in 2003, Suzhou Highfine Biotech Co is mainly engaged in the R&D and production of peptide reagents, protein crosslinking agents, and molecular building blocks.
As an influential producer and supplier of peptide reagents worldwide, the company has partnered with global leading peptide medicine-related companies and exports 50 percent of its products to the United States, Europe, and Japan.
The company has obtained a total of 22 invention patents and continues to focus on innovation. The establishment of its headquarters in SND will help the company attract innovation talents in the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as fuel the development of the biomedicine and medical equipment industry in the district, said Zhu Yong, CEO of the company.
