Suzhou New District held an event releasing a series of plans for building itself into a national green industry demonstration base on Sept 17.
A company specializing in the green and low-carbon scientific and technological industry was established at the event. It will work as a vital incubator for SND's green and low-carbon industrial development by integrating distributed photovoltaics, smart grids, regional energy stations, as well as other industrial resources.
The company aims to build a market-oriented green technology innovation system, speed up the transformation of green low-carbon innovation technology achievements, as well as improve the development of the green low-carbon industry in the district.
An innovative research center was also unveiled at the event, which will carry out research and development, technical consulting, and talent cultivation in the carbon sink and low carbon fields in the Yangtze River Delta region.
A low-carbon company alliance was initiated at the event. The customer-centered alliance will unite leading companies, universities, and institutes that are strong in new energy, new materials, as well as energy conservation and environmental protection to work together in fields like energy, industry, architecture, traffic, finance, and environment.
The event also included a number of contracts signing, which aimed at green and low-carbon development in the district.
