China Certification & Inspection Group signed an agreement with Suzhou New District on Sept 29 to establish a Suzhou inspection collaborative innovation industrial base.
The industrial base is expected to drive the annual output value of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of SND to exceed 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion) after completion.
Four functional industrial projects were also unveiled. The projects include a headquarters base of meteorological services, which is designed for meteorological quality services like lightening detection; a Suzhou exhibition area showing China Certification & Inspection Group's achievements in manufacturing, transportation, and green development; a meteorological research institute to boost the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements; as well as an East China pharmaceuticals testing center to provide testing services to new medicines to be launched and improve the pharmaceutical quality system.
China Certification & Inspection Group is a State-owned enterprise under the management of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council that focuses on "inspection, testing, certification, and standards".
Through 40 years of development, it has become China's first international inspection and testing certification enterprise group, enjoying renown around the world.
The cooperation between China Certification & Inspection Group and SND will further promote the deep integration of industry and the city.
