The flagship store of Fine Crafts of Suzhou attracted much attention at the fourth China International Import Expo in Shanghai with its displays of time-honored Jiangnan culture, local media outlets reported.

A variety of exquisite crafts unique to Suzhou, including Suzhou embroidery, Suzhou kesi (a type of weaving done using fine silk and gold thread), jade carving, fruit pit carving, Suzhou fans, Ming and Qing-style (1368-1911) furniture, birdcages, and antique bronze wares were exhibited at the store.

The artworks were designed and created by more than 200 local masters as well as intangible cultural heritage inheritors.

The store comprised zones as the Suzhou Imperial Crafts Area, the Selected Products Area, the Derivatives Area and an area for livestreaming of Suzhou fine arts performances.

The layout of the flagship store was inspired by unique Jiangnan cultural elements , which is popular in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, such as folding screens, birdcages, windows with classical garden styles, bamboo shadows, potted landscape, and Ming and Qing-style furniture.
