Travel guide during the Spring Festival holiday

This year's 40-day Spring Festival travel rush kicked off on Jan 17 and will end on Feb 25. Here are some travel tips during the rush.

Railway Ticket

Sales of railway tickets for Chinese New Year's eve, which falls on Jan 31 this year, opened on Jan 17. Railway authorities warn of possible changes to epidemic prevention and control policies and advise passengers to check the latest policies of their destinations before departure.

Weather Forecast

There will be five notable temperature drops across Jiangsu province in the next 40 days: the later period of mid-January, later period of late January, middle period of early February, early and middle periods of mid-February, and early period of late February.

Jiangsu province is expected to experience rainfall five times during the travel rush: the middle and later periods of mid-January, early and middle periods of early February, later period of early February to early period of mid-February, later period of mid-February, and early period of late February.

Travel Guide

All expressways will be toll-free for passenger cars with seven seats or fewer from Jan 31 to Feb 6.

Peak Time

Jan 22; Feb 6 to 9; Feb 16 to 22

Roads Prone to Congestion

Expressways: G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, and G1522 Changshu-Taizhou Expressway.

Scenic spots: Roads around the Humble Administrator's Garden, Tiger Hill, Shangfang Mountain, Tongli Ancient Town, and Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.
