Suzhou government provides update on health QR codes

(chinadaily.com.cn) | Updated : 2022-02-14

The local government in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has issued a statement regarding the circumstances during which personal health status QR codes can change from green to yellow.

The statement comes following the emergence of seven confirmed COVID-19 cases and one asymptomatic case since Feb 13.

According to the authorities, those who have stayed in the same place with confirmed cases will see their health QR code turn from green to yellow.

Those with yellow QR codes must undergo a three-day health monitoring and take two nucleic acid tests (24 hours apart) at designated medical facilities. The emergence of any symptoms must be reported immediately. The health codes will automatically revert to green if the results for both tests return negative.

People whose yellow codes do not revert automatically should provide relevant documents to their residential communities (villages) or sub-districts (towns), and submit applications to have their green health code status reinstated.

People whose health codes have turned yellow despite not having contact with confirmed cases can report the matter to their residential communities (villages).
