Traditional Chinese Medicine companies in Suzhou New District have been working to help curb the spread of COVID-19 in surrounding cities in recent days, local media outlets reported.
Li Liangji, a century-old TCM brand, has put in extra hours to produce medical supplies such as lung-clearing and phlegm-eliminating soup and incense sachets.
Taking advantage of its Chinese herbal medicine decocting technique, Li Liangji has worked with hospitals and medical institutions in Suzhou and surrounding areas, helping them decoct medicinal herbs in a timely and efficient manner.
Since Feb 14, it is estimated that Li Liangji has decocted more than 2.5 million bags of herbal medicine at hospitals in Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Zhenjiang and Yangzhou.
Lei Yun Shang Pharmaceutical Group donated the "Liu Shen Pill" and "Lung Tonifying and Blood Activating Pill" to local hospitals. The Liu Shen Pill, also known as the "pill of six ingredients with magical effects", has proved to have positive effects on COVID-19 confirmed cases. The pill can be taken orally or applied externally.
