Chinese Central Television, the state TV broadcaster, aired a news report on April 18 praising the efforts taken by Suzhou New District to stabilize economic progress amid the COVID-19 resurgence.
The report mentioned that a team of professionals on logistics support and epidemic prevention for enterprises was put together by the district shortly after the resurgence, which developed a special freight information platform that enabled truck drivers to declare their personal and vehicle information via mobile phone.
The team has also been working around the clock to review the declarations so as to ensure that the drivers can return in time within the validity period of their nucleic acid test and will not result in delay of commodity transportation the next day.
"Serving enterprises well is definitely one of our top priorities. We will customize our measures for different enterprises and keep in touch with our superior departments to ensure the normal operation and production of every enterprise," said Ye Qizhong, an official from the Fengqiao sub-district of SND.
