The Science and Technology Town of Suzhou New District held an online signing ceremony for 21 key projects on May 16, local media outlets reported.
The projects mainly involve industries such as software and information technology, high-end medical apparatus, high-end intelligent equipment, and integrated circuits.
The laboratory of artificial intelligence initiated by Siemens in the Yangtze River Delta region was a highlight of the ceremony.
As a major innovation platform, the AI lab was Siemens' first of its kind to be built outside Germany. Consisting of a core lab and four centers on technical validation, personnel training, marketing, and regional business, the lab is expected to provide enterprises with a variety of digital technology value-added services, jointly promote industrial landing, and enable the digital transformation and upgrading of local manufacturing enterprises.
Zylox Medical, a nerve and peripheral vascular interventional medical device company, decided to build a research and development center in the town. The new project will strive to make breakthroughs in cerebrovascular interventional therapy products.
