An exhibition consisting of 52 photos of Suzhou, the eastern Chinese sister city of Esbjerg, opened in the Danish city on May 4, local media outlets reported.
The exhibition depicts the culture, daily life and beautiful landscapes of Suzhou, including the ancient canals, stone bridges, and classical gardens that Suzhou is known for. The photos also capture random moments of beauty in the city.
The exhibition will run until July 15, giving locals a special glimpse into life in their Chinese sister city.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Suzhou and Esbjerg. Over the past 20 years, the two cities have jointly carried out exchanges and cooperation in various fields, including economy and trade, science and technology, culture, environment, and education. The current exhibition, the first brick-and-mortar event to be held since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, is expected to further strengthen people-to-people ties and deepen the relationship between the two cities.
