Suzhou New District in East China's Jiangsu province held a digital economy industrial forum on July 15, inviting experts, researchers and enterprise representatives to share their opinions on the new development trend and pattern of digital economy, local media outlets reported.
The research results of SND's digital economy core industries were released at the forum, indicating that with a solid new-generation information technology industrial background, SND has witnessed the output values of its digital economy core industries exceed 100 billion yuan ($14.82 billion) and more than 300 enterprises reach 20 million yuan.
DigiBay, an industrial park invested by SND with focus on the scientific innovation of digital economy, was unveiled at the forum. It will be led by the local Tencent digital industry base and supported by the intelligent manufacturing center on Taishan Road, the incubation center on Lushan Road, and the innovation center on Zhujiang Road.
Sun Lining, a national high-end talent expert, academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Soochow University, and Chen Shiqing, academician of the American National Academy of Engineering, American Academy of Arts and Sciences, president of the Third Brain Institute, also delivered keynote speeches on "robot enabling digital economy and collaborative development" and "architectural design and application scenarios of digital economy-targeted information systems" respectively.
