The 13th Foreign Investment Enterprises Games of Suzhou kicked off in the eastern Chinese city on Sept 3 and will last until Oct 23, local media outlets reported.
A total of 3,563 employees from 215 foreign-invested enterprises, of which 43 enterprises are first-time participants, will take part in the month-long sporting event.
They will compete in 10 sports: basketball, football, table tennis, badminton, fishing, golf, canoeing, billiards, karting, and city orienteering.
The golf game concluded at the Kunshan Xubao Golf Club on Sept 4. A total of 117 golfers from 65 companies competed.
Jachmann Stefan from Wika Automation Instrument (Suzhou) Co, who started playing the sport not long ago, was among the participants.
Since it was his first time taking part in the event, he had many questions and was worried about whether the match would be canceled since there were too many players.
But after the game ended, he said that it was well-organized.
The event has been running since 2009 to enrich the lives of employees and enhance Suzhou's appeal to foreign enterprises. It was turned into a biennial event in 2020.
