Suzhou New District is now home to two Chinese unicorn companies and nine national-level potential unicorn enterprises, according to the Chinese Unicorn Company Research Report 2022, which was released on Dec 26, 2022.
A unicorn company refers to a privately owned startup valued at more than $1 billion within 10 years of its establishment.
Analogix Semiconductor Co, one of the new unicorn companies in SND, was established in 2016. The company specializes in the design of high-performance digital-analog hybrid chips.

Jiangsu Yunxuetang Network Technology Co, the other new unicorn company, was established in 2011. The company has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise. Yunxuetang provides customers with digital learning solutions, including software SaaS service and digital enterprise learning operation.

SND recently released the "3-year Action Plan for Cultivating Innovative Enterprises in Suzhou High-tech Zone (2021-23)" as part of efforts to provide holistic services for startups.
Local officials said they will create a first-class public service, first-class government service, and first-class financial service to cultivate unicorn companies.
