The Shishan Finance Innovation Center, a new financial landmark in Suzhou New District, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, will open to the public in May, local media reported on March 14.
Located at the intersection of SND, Gusu, and Wuzhong districts, the 720,000-square-meter center is being constructed in three phases and costs a total of 13 billion yuan ($1.89 billion).

The first and second phases of the center have been completed and the third phase will be finished soon. The most recognizable buildings of the center are the K-shaped office buildings on the southwest corner.
The center is expected to function as a financial block featuring office buildings, long-term rental apartments, and high-end hotels.

So far, nearly 40 enterprises have agreed to set up operations in the center. China Everbright Bank, Changjiang Securities Co, and other financial institutions have also inked agreements to open branches in the center.
In addition, there will be more than 40 retail brands, including Starbucks and Italian restaurant Mammamia when the center opens in May. Nearly 150 retail brands will open in the center in the near future.
