The Sunan Shuofang International Airport in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, inaugurated a terminal in Suzhou New District, Suzhou, Jiangsu province, on May 17, local media outlets reported.

The terminal, built by Shuofang airport in collaboration with Shenzhen Airlines and Jiangsu Suqi Tourism Group Co Ltd, is expected to improve integrated transportation between Wuxi and Suzhou.

The terminal provides tourists with well-equipped lounges and check-in services. Luggage check-in services will be available in the near future, according to a staff member from Jiangsu Suqi Tourism Group Co Ltd.

Shuofang airport has built transfer stations at the transfer terminals to the north, south, west and east of Suzhou and currently, there are 42 buses heading for Suzhou from the airport per day.

Since this year, Shuofang airport's passenger throughput has rapidly resumed. As of April, the airport delivered more than 2.83 million passengers this year and about 40 percent of the outbound passengers were from Suzhou, an important passenger source of the airport.
