Two enterprises in Suzhou New District, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently made the list of Hurun China Most Valuable Private Energy Companies 2023.
One of the listed enterprises is Canadian Solar Inc which is a main manufacturer of photovoltaic modules and large energy storage products in the world. Its core business is the development, production and sale of crystalline silicon PV modules.
Starting from 2011, Canadian Solar's sales to dealers have been ranked among the top five around the world. The company's semiannual report in 2023 shows that its operating revenue surged 31.71 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year to 26.11 billon yuan ($3.58 billion).

Another listed enterprise is GoodWe Technologies Co Ltd which is a world-leading PV inverter manufacturer and smart energy solution provider. GoodWe now is committed to being a comprehensive solution provider by offering an extensive product portfolio including inverters, lithium batteries, PV building materials, EV chargers, and smart energy management systems.
Currently, the company has sold its products in more than 100 countries and regions including Germany and Italy. Its financial report shows that its operating revenue and net profits soared 162.61 percent and 1256.2 percent from last year to 3.81 billion yuan and 741 million yuan respectively in the Jan-June period.
SND has in recent years ramped up efforts to become China's leading district in green and low-carbon industries. The latest statistics show that the district now is home to more than 90 businesses engaged in green and low-carbon industries.
