In response to China’s reform and development in the new era, Beijing International Studies University and K.T.Cooperation jointly initiated and established the China Academy of Culture and Tourism (The Academy).
Beijing International Studies University established the China Academy of Belt and Road Initiative (CABRI), the first of its kind in the country, in 2014.
The Beijing Institute of Culture and Tourism Development (BICTD) was founded by Beijing International Studies University (BISU) in late 2018 to coordinate development among cultural affairs, cultural and tourism industries.
The Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence and Linguistic Cognition of Beijing International Studies University (the Laboratory) was officially established in 2018, on the basis of the Laboratory for Linguistic Cognition, which was founded in 2008.
The Beijing Institute for International Communication (BIIC) was established in November 2018, based on the National Institute of Cultural Development (NICD) to better serve Beijing’s function of international communication center.
The China-Arab Reform and Development Institute of Beijing International Studies University was established due to institutional reforms in 2018. As a teaching and scientific research unit, it works together with the Center for Arabian Studies, which is one of the National and Regional Research Bases of the Ministry of Education, and the School of Middle Eastern Studies.
